The app uses the device’s camera solely for the purpose of:
- Scanning QR codes: This allows the app to read the MAC ID of a transmitter device. No photographs are taken during this process, and no image data is transmitted or stored. The MAC ID is sent directly to the XCSpec receiver over Wi-Fi Direct to facilitate communication between devices.
